Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Pro Tools Software versions below 8.0.3 are not compatible with Snow Leopard. Pro Tools 8.0.5 is a free update for Pro Tools 8 owners. Version 8.0.5 supports the following Mac OS X versions, on Intel-based Macs only:
The Auto Time Adjuster (ATA) plug-in automates the measurement, calculation and setting of delays, to compensate for plug-in latency in Pro Tools v7 and 8. (v7.4 or v8.01 and higher recommended). Compensating for plug-in latency in Pro Tools LE/M-Powered v7 and v8 has always been a manual task due to the lack of automatic delay compensation. Pro Tools LE 8.0.1cs2 Update (Mac) 0 MB Pro Tools LE 8.0.3 Full Installer (Mac OS 10.5/10.6 for Intel) does not support original Mbox or PowerPC 0 MB Pro Tools LE 8.0.3 Full Installer (Windows XP/Vista) does not support original Mbox 0 MB Pro Tools LE 8.0.5 Updater (Mac OS 10.5/10.6) Previous Installation of Pro Tools LE 8.x Required 0.
- Mac OS X 10.6.2 – 10.6.7 (Snow Leopard)
- Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard)
Mac OS X 10.6.3:
- Pro Tools 8.0.4 added official support for Mac OS X 10.6.3 and higher.
- Although there are no known issues with Mac OS X 10.6.3 and Pro Tools 8.0.3 systems, 10.6.3 and higher is not officially qualified or tested with Pro Tools 8.0.3.
Please Note: Pro Tools 8.0.3 software (and higher) does not support some retired products, including:
- Mbox (original model)
- Macintosh PowerPC Computers
